Affiliate Disclosure
How we earn revenue, and our promise that it never changes what we recommend to your family.
In plain English
Some links on WellNest are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We also sometimes work with sponsors and influencers, and we always say so clearly. None of it changes what we recommend: we only point you to things we genuinely believe help your family. Anything you buy from a third party is between you and that seller, under their own pricing and refund policies.
This summary is a friendly overview only. The full disclosure below is what governs.1. Our Commitment to Transparency
WellNest is built on trust, so we tell you plainly how we make money. This page explains our affiliate and partner relationships, how they work, and, most importantly, how they do (and do not) affect the content you read. If a relationship could reasonably affect how you view a recommendation, we disclose it.
2. What Is an Affiliate Link?
Some of the links on www.wellnesthq.com are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, WellNest may receive a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to the seller directly. Affiliate commissions are a common, legitimate way for content-driven sites to fund their work. Ours help us keep producing free educational resources about home health for families everywhere.
3. Our Affiliate & Partner Relationships
WellNest participates in affiliate programs offered by manufacturers and retailers of home-health products. These currently include, but are not limited to, products such as:
- Radon test kits and continuous radon monitors
- Carbon monoxide and air-quality monitors
- Water-testing kits and filtration products
- Other home health and safety resources
We earn a commission when a qualifying purchase is made through a tracked link on our website, in our emails, or in our downloadable guides and eBooks.
Beyond affiliate links, we may also work with brands and creators through sponsored content, paid partnerships, or complimentary (gifted) products that we review or feature. Whenever any such arrangement exists, we disclose it clearly and treat it under the same standards described below.
4. Our Editorial Independence
Affiliate and partner relationships do not influence our recommendations. We only recommend products and services we genuinely believe provide value to families, and we would never recommend something simply because it pays a higher commission. If a product we have a relationship with does not serve you well, we will say so or leave it out entirely. You are always free to research independently and buy wherever you like. Our job is to inform you, not to push a sale.
5. How We Disclose (FTC & Canadian Standards)
We provide this disclosure in accordance with both:
- the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), which require clear disclosure of any material connection between a publisher and a brand; and
- the Canadian Competition Act and the guidelines of the Competition Bureau of Canada, which require the same.
A “material connection” includes affiliate commissions, referral or partnership fees, complimentary products, and paid or sponsored placements. Wherever such a connection exists, we disclose it clearly and conspicuously on the relevant page or within the relevant content, using plain labels such as “affiliate link,” “sponsored,” or “ad.”
6. How to Identify Affiliate & Sponsored Links
We disclose affiliate links and sponsored or partnered content in-content, directly next to or immediately above the relevant link, product mention, or recommendation, using plain labels such as “affiliate link,” “sponsored,” or “ad.” Our site-wide footer also carries a standing notice, but that footer notice is a supplement to, not a substitute for, the in-content disclosure. You are never obligated to use our links; you are free to search for and buy any product independently.
7. Third-Party Purchases
Any purchase you make through an affiliate or partner link is a transaction solely between you and that third-party seller, governed entirely by that seller’s own pricing, currency, shipping, refund, return, and warranty policies. WellNest is not a party to that transaction and cannot process refunds, returns, or exchanges for it. WellNest sells only its own educational content and digital products directly; any guarantee WellNest offers applies only to those direct purchases and is described in our Terms and Conditions, not in this disclosure.
8. No Guarantees & Not Professional Advice
Information on www.wellnesthq.com is provided for general educational purposes. While we work hard to be accurate, WellNest makes no warranty as to the completeness, reliability, or suitability of any product or service mentioned, and any action you take is at your own discretion. WellNest is not a licensed home inspector, contractor, firefighter, safety engineer, medical provider, or legal adviser. For advice specific to your home or health, consult a qualified professional. See our full Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to This Disclosure
We may update this Affiliate Disclosure at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
